Hi there, I like anything by Matthew Rielly or Michael Connelly in particular. And just a passing point, I have just released my own book, about my life in Spain, and breeding alpacas. It is called 'Bloody Hell, What's an Alpaca?' and is available on Amazon now

I've just finished Stephen Donaldson's Against All Things Ending - he really does know how to write an epic story. Now I just have to wait another couple of years for the last book in the series. I hate waiting, but at least he does write very good catch-ups at the start of each of his books as you need them to help remember where you were up to!

Time for a bit of frivolity so I'm going to read a Janet Evanovich, I think I'm up to "Seven Up".

Well I ended up ditching the Uri Gellar book half way in, it is total crap and the most boring book I've ever encountered.

I'm now finishing off the Bachman Book, just started The Running Man.

Matthew Reilly.

Bizarre character. One of his books reads like a story teller who is on speed!
With some highly questionable plot devices - it's been said.

The guy did really well.

Janet Evanovich is perfect for some frivolity - I laugh like a drain at those books (and they're so much better than that TERRIBLE film would imply)

I haven't seen the film and perhaps I never will now I think this in an occasion where I would rather keep things as they are in my imagination rather than ruin it with a crappy film.

I read Seven Up on Sunday, Hard Eight on Monday and I'm part way through To The Nines today. They really are quick reads. When that's done I have no idea what to read next. Nothing in my unread pile appeals at the moment, so it might be time to have a rummage through my kindle again!

If you like well written thrillers, have a look at the Lee Child's books on your kindle (if you've already posted on here that you don't, or that you've already read him, ignore me - this thread is way too big )

Well Dreamy, you were right about the Anne Rice Interview with a Vampire megarilogy. I chucked it after The Vampire Armand. So disappointing.

Re: Matthew Rielly - that's why I like his books. I think they are more Indiana Jones on speed, but they are never dull, and I always want to get back to reading them. Of course far fetched, but that's escapism for you

I do like thrillers especially of the well written variety I haven't read any Lee Child's so I've made a little note and I'll give them a whirl. It's good to have some new authors to try as I'm almost up to date with all my favourites. Isn't it strange how you know what I have on my kindle

Just finished The Running Man, it's superb and nothing like the film, nothing at all.
