If we are not around, stick them in the garage - don't know what time the flight is - or are you bringing them all down as early as possible and just abandoning them?

I have a washing bin behind the door & the door has been rammed so hard against the washbin its burst a hole in the door.
We're both seething, they were all out at the time Dani found it,a few hours later they appeared & Malcolm explained to them what we had found & asked if they knew how it happened?they said they had no idea & thought the door was always like that
they could see we were mega pissed off & have said they will try & repair it.
Cant believe they would of just kept quiet about it!
Ive cleaned the suite up,used some wash liquid & gave it a good wiping but its left dull patches,I'll try your dove soap idea Soapy & I'll get some Saddle Soap tomorrow(didnt think you could still buy that,i remember my mum using it years & years ago!),that should bring the colour up i think.
We've told them not to allow their kids on the sofa when they've just put cream on them but with a 11/2yr old & 4yr old they've got a job on their hands! I put a dark throw over the sofa,so if the kids do go on it,it will show up
Thanks for all your comments & support.
Donna.

Go out with your family and leave them to it, or better still go away for a few days, and clear up post disaster.

I hope everything sorts itself out for you and Donna.
You seem like really nice people and don't deserve to have your hospitality abused like that.

I ruined it with some semi-intelligent thoughts on laptop-buying the other day though.
As I say, have a Happy New Year, do try to keep a perspective on things old chap though or you'll never be happy in whatever continent you happen to be living on!
Best Regards,
Matt

Donna and Malc,
We've been through this sort of thing twice now, with two different lots of visitors and the simplest thing is to TELL THEM!!!!!
If they don't like it - so what? If they kick off - Would you really want them as house guests again in the future? Do you really want your sofas wrecked again? Do you really want to have to put up with reaking dirty nappies around the house? Nope, didn't think so.
Do what we did - tell 'em how it is - this is our house, you are more than welcome but give it a bit of respect. If not, then fork out for a hotel.
You'll be surprised and pleased with the result you get.
And the world might be half surrounded by terrorism but I never heard of dirty nappies being involved ...maybe theres an idea for Dubya...

omg!! I tell them to start packing as they are taking advantage of your hospitality. This is your home they are treating like a doss-house!
Are they not contributing a penny towards their upkeep either? P*ss-takers!

No they certainly arent contributing, that was the idea to give them a bit extra spends, god do i feel a mug now
This morning they left to go to Sydney for two days, back wed
Im hoping they enjoy it so much the decide to stay there a bit longer
Today im going to get my house in order & make the most of the two days they are away!On their return the ground rules will be set down again, more firmly this time
Hubby is going to leave the hoover/polishing stuff/bathroom cleaning stuff in the middle of their room floor also, see if they take the hint
Donna.
