England deserved winners. It was the scrum that did it, and not just Wilkinson as he missed a few.

England had all the possesion and even some backline moves.

Lesson 1 for Australia :All international teams need a scrum. I thought we might see a pushover try or a red card. The scrum collapsed again as in 2003 and 2005.

Lesson 2 for England : At minute 30 the Australians greased that ball so quick it should have been a taste of things to come. Some of the quickest ball I have ever seen. When are the England team going to learnt to break the line and use it.

Larkham would have made a difference.

Australia haven't beaten England in a Cup game for 16 years..

Things you never hear me say...

Come on England!

The English played well. Aus played fro about 10-15 mins. Hopefully NZ will play well as I don't want to supprt England in the final.

Live : Ben Tune, commentator, former Wallaby wing, nice bloke(I've met him) absolutely enthusing about England. Sombre, no, ashen Channel 10 faces all round when we switched to studio, and cue possible 'biased' commentary but top marks for no smart comments.

Sometimes, contrary to popular opinion on this forum, Australian media can be good sports...

I noticed. Well done. You've not changed my opinion. Please re-read my previous post if you think you're being smart.

Completely agree. I've noticed the Aussie media will give praise where it's due and vice versa. And they don't come up with excuses when they lose.
