Have to say the Aussies looked the most the classy. Americans number 2 but lost a point because of the absurd berets. Was hoping the Brits would round off an excellent and classy ceremony but they blew it with the most ridiculous outfits of the entire show that made them look like a camp 1970s theatre production of the moon landings, dressed as they were in gold bacofoil.

I am just back from watching the ceremony on the beach.

I did like that idea, although there are quite a few people online moaning about it.
Definitely an antidote to the china games, and not embarrassing (IMHO), but a celebration of all that GB has done, all compressed in an hour, with humour.
I do think they need to do something about the length of the athletes parade in future though - that dragged.
