It would be a good idea for Beth , Andrew & kids to validate ...just to keep the option open for the next few years, but it sounds as if they have had a gut-full of it all...and we all know it does get on top of you and it's all you and everyone around you talks about
I'm relieved that the boys and Jerad are validated and we feel less pressure on us because of it, (you all know I want to be there NOW!! but its not happening til next year I have come to accept it...albeit be-grudgingly)

Hi Zoe, thanks! Lets hope those feelings of yours are accurate! We had a no-show viewer last night - who apparently rang the agent 1st thing today to apologise - he was allegedly stuck on the Jubilee Line coming home from work! Because of the kids going to bed about 7pm we've now said that we dont want any evening viewers to start off with - people will have to wait till the weekend if they're interested - but we wont be having anyone round this Saturday though as Eden is 5 thursday and we're taking her to Legoland for the day (weather permitting!)...

I do hope Beth and family try to validate their visa's.... they may live to regret it if they've gone through what they did and dont leave their options open. But I can understand her frustration though. Also didnt help that she was messed about so much with her house - i think i'd have felt the same way....I have often thought about what we might do ourselves if we ever did come to the decision not to go through with the move....but that normally only lasts a day and then i'm back on realestate.com.au looking at the lovely Tassie houses instead of what we "cant" afford in Essex!
I tell you your year will fly by. I cant believe my Jared is 15months old almost - and that it's almost 4 months since we were in Australia ourselves - that time has flown by...... Soon you'll have your little girl to keep you very busy!

I just had a nose at your house !! Lovely..especially the garden ...I love a nice flat garden and yours is immaculate...I should post a pic of mine at the minute Scaffolding,mixer,tiles etc..... I know it's all there for a reason but it looks awful. The wind was so rough the last few nights I thought it would rip the new roof trusses clean off..thankfully it was only a case of tiles blown around (leaving a nice few leaks)

I HATE no-showers for viewings:curse::curse: whatever the reason (aren't I reasonable!!) They don't realise how much effort is put into either the cleaning ,shipping kids off to family or putting dinner off so the house is clean and smells nice GGrrrrr lets hope you have no more of these xx

Thanks Zoe Shame the pics of the garden aren't in the summer though as our borders are rammed with flowers then....the borders look a little bare in the old winter months Just had bookings for two more viewers on Sunday, now that the house is on rightmove they must have rung the agent.... Our house is actually a lot nicer upstairs but the agent said dont use the bedroom / bathroom pics - instead when viewers come round they'll get a nice surprise by the rooms as we did a new bathroom late last year...
I did wonder how the weather would be affecting you guys - especially with your building works going on! Glad it hasn't done too much damage though...

I should have added - you mentioning putting dinner off to avoid cooking smells - it probably was a good idea that guy didnt turn up last night - i'd cooked a beef casserole in the afternoon - and when i opened the frontdoor returning from work about 8.30pm last night - there was the distinct waft of onions in the air!! Have to remember that one in future!

Blimey ! What a shock to hear about Beth. As everyone else as said it would be wise for her to validate, and I have 1st hand experience of this, as we went through the whole visa process in 1997 then I fell pregnant and decided we would'nt go, and over 10 years later been through it all again. If we had validated, we could have saved a lot of money!
Anyway I wish Beth & her family all the best, its a VERY hard decision and I am really struggling with it myself lately. But we are definetly still coming - my OH will leave me if I change my mind again!

Good news on your viewers, you've certainly had plenty of interest already

Its gone really quiet here, we had a week with 5 viewers but nothing since, 2 of them really liked the house but had not sold their own yet.
Hopefully with the Spring weather (ha ha), it will encourage more buyers. Mind you, at the moment, I'm glad we havent got any as 3 fence panels went in the wind, they belong to next door who do not look like they are in any rush to sort them out

Have a great time at Legoland, we went twice when the children were younger and had a fab time

Hi Sam, I imagine we're just getting the first flurry of viewers that some area's tend to get when new properties come on.... not sure if it'll last or if anyone will actually buy our place! We have had some feedback from the agent today about the guys that viewed Sunday - one of the ladies said she liked the house but it wasnt really what she was looking for. The other couple said that they really like it - but they're viewing a couple of other houses this week - but if nothing comes of those - they may be interested in making an offer... (although if that's the case it had better be a good offer as we dont want to accept much below the asking price! - not yet anyway!).
Have another two bookings for the weekend... Find it quite irritating that the agent cant get people to come at roughly the same time though - we'll probably be stuck indoors all day waiting for everyone to come round at different times!
I hope the viewing picks up for everyone else that still has to sell though.
We had to replace two fence panels a couple of months ago - i woke up to see them in next door's garden! Very annoying isnt it! At least you havent got to replace them yourselves - but it would annoy me if our neighbour wasnt in a rush to replace something that affected the look of our place!
Our side of the garden has different coloured panels as we've had to replace a few - but havent wanted to fork out for the whole length of the garden! and the guy who lives on the other side of us - the fence he's responsible for is like the fence that Jack built! Come to think of it though his whole house (detached from us thankfully!) is like the house that Jack built! He seems to pick things up on jobs he does (he's a retired builder), so his double glazing on windows is all non-matching etc!
Glad to hear Legoland is good - we dont really know of anyone personally that's been!

I think my two would be too old for it now (9 & 11) but certainly enjoyed it both times.

How old are your children, sorry I can't remember?

There's lots of smaller low key rides for the little ones and a couple of small roller coasters for older children and mums and dads! Brilliant miniature Legoland, a train to bring you back to the top when you're knackered, a mini driving school etc I'm sure you'll enjoy it as long as its dry!

I am fine ..BP seems ok and I have had 4 lots of Steroid injections just incase this lil lady decides to make an early appearance I was slightly worried that I might turn into Olga the Russian Shot Putter as a result of them but they are not that type , I have been assured

I think she will enjoy it the most - Jared would be happy anywhere as long as he's not sitting in his buggy all day!

The things us women go through sometimes eh? I've already told you my hospital saga from having Jared....dont think i could face going through that again So you're a much much braver woman than me!
