Hi Nat we got your PM too late, we had already been out here a few weeks by the time I got to read it! Thanks anyway for the email address of the agency.
We have a rental in Moonah for now and have just started the ball rolling on a house we've seen, but no offer has been accepted yet. We've been really cheeky and gone in really low!!
But then OH is a Yorkshireman, tight as a fishes A***e!!!

Hi Beth, i showed the OH your house last night - and now we're thinking of putting ours up for sale on the website that you're using once we've sorted out the home buyers report. Cant believe it's a one-off fee for £99 to advertise it! We worked out how much estate agent fee's we might have to pay otherwise!!!! Have you sent off for your "for-sale" board with the site yet? It's good that they supply that too - and you only need to find the post! How much did you pay for your HIP report?

We paid £99 plus an extra £40 to go on some extra internet sites......so £139 in total......much better than £3500 with EA!!!!

Our HIP cost us just under £400........ it's a right rip off!!!! :curse: The buyer will want to get their own reports/surveys done anyway.
Took about 6 weeks to get it back too!!!!
I will not be going back to an EA...........I will just update the photos and writing as and when I feel I have to.......you can also change the price etc yourself.
Good luck,

Yikes, if it took 6 weeks to get back - we'd better start getting the HIP organised!

yep, i'd settle for a few hundred grand as well.... My OH is convinced he's going to be rich one day (been saying it now for a few years
and it hasn't happened yet!
)Not sure how he's going to make loads of dosh in Tassie though - unless we unearth a gap in the market for something!

An engineering agency in Hobart posted us a property newspaper from Tas. My hubby hasn't stopped drooling over the houses there since and will shove it in anyone's face who comes to my house to visit us
He's sooooooooo excited about moving to Tas......whereas I'm having 2nd thoughts every 5 mins due to giving my security blanket up!!
I also hate flying......but feel compelled to watch 'Aircrash Investigated' every bloody night on sky

My OH's the same - and like you - i'm the one that has the jitters every now and then - but saying that i'm feeling really up for it at the moment even though all the organising is a pain!

The journey wont be as bad as you envisage it to be... we were dreading flying to Perth and then doing the seperate flights over to Tassie and none of it was as bad as we imagined... Saying that though - Andy was a bit quiet on the flight back from Sydney to Perth after leaving Tassie - but that was because he'd realised then he'd left the hirecar keys for our Perth car in the safety deposit box in the Hotel in Tassie!!!!
We did manage to sort it all out and got the keys back from the hotel a few days later!I even took some of that Phenergan stuff to make kids sleep for our daughter to take - but didn't even need to use it as she was quite well-behaved for the whole journey and did sleep for quite a way...
We did book a night flight going out for the 1st leg of the journey and i think that did help so it's something worth bearing in mind as then you and your OH will be able to guarantee a bit of sleep!

I would love somewhere like that so all the kids could run riot!! and Jerad could bugger of to one of his many sheds/workshops/veggie patch
and give me some peace !!I shouldn't wish for that should I ? as i'm all on my lonesome for 10 days when they are all in Oz and I will hate the silence (well not for the 1st few days
) . Just thinking when they are all older and bigger that we will be cramped as I fully expect them to stay at home until they are 30
Going to be really tragic and watch Home & Away just to glimpse at blue skies and the sea
