Without Aussie experience no one gives a shit. Doesn't matter if you were a senior manager oveseas in many times you haev to start from the bottem again.

Local experience would be really important if the standard of softwares in this country was better than elsewhere, which is really not. the projects that I have seen in my 1st week of work, they contain such silly bugs that would get any developer fired in an instant around the world. and some of the structure and standard of coding makes me laugh. Actually this industry has things to learn from outside world, not block off....talking about agents this is a mail from a very highly placed IT person in one of the largest MNC's in Sydney whom I asked about the game.there is nothing to be said after this mail..

For example , if a person works in Company A, then they will send his resume to company b and c who are direct competitors, such that they might want to call the person for an interview. This is how they work.
Even if established company advertise a job, they advertise it directly and they pay very little salary.

well I didn't post for a long time in this thread, but just saw a lot of new posts. U might not be aware that there are many jobs in the world which needs skills rather than english. You have to be honest with honest people and crude with the people that plays with your trust. It is as simple as that.

You've been here two minutes but feel you can comment on ALL Australia. I'm astounded that you've got around all the companies and all the recruitment agents in the country in that time. You must be shattered.

Oh,so sharing your experience, warning people of treacherous agents is a big sin? Encouraging people to look for posts directly from companies is a sin? Go on man...you don't wish that people share their experience and put in information here.

Yes the Negative is the Agents and the Positive are the Companies, who do call for interviews and don't grinn for local experience...so I wanted to guide the people on the right path, if it was a mistake forgive me man...I am sorry. Hundreds of people in other forums appreciated this same post and encouraged me to share more experience. Sorry dudes, its your fault that you don't want your forum to be useful.

You have had a slightly negative experience which is very useful for new migrants to know about. However you then turned it into a 'warning about ALL of Australia'. That's not factual and could put off new migrants who wouldn't suffer the same 'misfortunes' you have. Many IT professionals move here from India and every other country in the world, have no problems finding work so whilst yours is a worthwhile and necessary warning it is not a blanket, one size fits all problem. If you won't understand that then I can't make you.
