Think we've sold it, Ive been in talks all day with the agents they've made 2 more offers today and are only £1,000 away from our bottom line, to be honest we would not loose this sale for £1,000 the agents just seeing if she can squeeze a bit more out of them before we accept the offer.

Thank god its nearly over.

if you think it is worth it you can be cheeky & ask the agent to compromise too - say, knock £500 off their fee and you will accept

All done and dusted, just accepted the offer, in total a reduction of £28,000 but at least we will be in OZ before Christmas now.

We had already dropped it £25,000 cause of the state of the declining market so whats another £3,000.

Now ive got to tell my Mum & Dad not looking forward to that.

Good luck everyone, like ive said the market's picked up in the last month so lets hope you all get selling the buggers soon.

out of interest did you ask the agent to compromise, if so what was their reaction?

House went on the market January 2005, and we moved to Aus on August 7th and finally had a offer on the 10th of August. We have just exchanged last Friday, which is a big relief. Couldnt believe we move to Aus and then we finally get an offer . Been on market nearly 8 months, and lots of viewings, but no interest, then i assume fate had a hand. To all that are still waiting, dont panic, or giveup, something will happen.

Now we can start looking at all the houses we want to buy.
