Escape from Oz

Children, it's nearly christmas, feel free to disagree but perhaps we could leave the name calling out of it please? The thread has managed to stay polite up till now, if you can't make an argument without resorting to insults, maybe you're not big enough to use a computer.

Thats been going on for years mate.I moved to Oz as a child in 1970 and boy did we cop some shit back then, but you know what?We would often get the convict story and I would reply that we came here voluntarily whilst their ancestors probably did'nt!

Xenophobic? No - don't think so, sport. No fear of strangers. Just plain, ordinary, everyday dislike of entho-centric Brits. Quite happy for them to be so in their own country - they can tell each other how to suck eggs.

To my lasting shame - no convicts in my family.

If you can manage to be polite for just a few moments, could you enlighten me as to why you post on a mainly British expat site if you have so much antagonism towards the nationality?

Fortunately perhaps, other nationalities don't have and perhaps don't need web sites such as this and perhaps I am spared their wailing and teeth gnashing.
