Dust !!

The only thing I've seen online is that these happen so infrequently they can't really predict how long it will last. I imagine the same thing goes for how far it will travel.

This is what it is like in my area:

Not as bad as Sydney

My daughter is on the phone to her Sydney friend right now, and want's to fly down to see it all. Her friend stayed of school due to the dust.

Down here it's the other problem - we have to keep the heating on since it's bl**dy cold - and the dust that *has* got into the house and system makes a burning smell as it gets heated up in the exchangers.
Can hardly see through the windows now (13.00) for the red centre stuck to them!

It is okay now in our bit of Sydney. It is sunshine/clouds but quite windy. Everything is covered in a fine layer of red dust. It has blown into the house through the cracks underneath the door, and also I stupidly left the windows upstairs open thinking that the fly screens would stop the worst of it. No such luck, just had a coughing fit having been up there to close them. I'll know for next time!

Our OH&S Officer says we have to have the aircon on full blast. That's at work, BTW - I don't have one at home.
Just been for a walk round Darling Harbour and the sky is blue, but everything else is orange. Gotta feel for the poor buggers cleaning up.
