Yep out here in Darra, my car is now filthy and it has become very cool and dusty, very strange first one I have ever seen.

Here's a question for everyone....
Do you turn the air conditioning on or off during a dust storm? I would have though you'd turn it off but some of my husbands work buddies are telling their wives to turn the AC on. I have no clue as this is a first for me!

Pretty sure we had one a few years ago - and everyone woke up to find stuff covered in a fine layer of dust - but this is a real doozy!!

The car air con can be set to recirculate the air, but I don't think a house one will.
Therefore the filters may clog up quickly, and possibly cause burnout of the motor.
This is a first for me too, in 18 years living in this country.

Thanks, I've been leaving it off for now. It just seems wrong to turn it on somehow. I keep thinking it'll completely screw up the filters, motor, etc.
I'd rather deal with a bit of dust in the house if needed than pay to fix the air con again!

Everything yellow here. Showed a daughter the pics of sydney and she moaned that we were yellow and why couldn't we be red
. Having just got back from shopping and feeling like I need several showers to get clean, I'll stick to yellow thanks.
Thankfully though, whilst it's really windy, the temps aren't as high as they thought so hopefully the major bush fires threatened won't happen (unless the moron arsonists are out playing silly buggers of course).
