Didn't know about that one, its a temporary visa, only 10,500 granted each year and bachelor degree required.

I still don't want to live there

Yes, you're right, they can apply - does not exclude a naturalised citizen from applying

Ditto. Great people and some great places.... but oh so many problems, especially in some of the cities, which are dire in places.

Oh yes and don't forget that a bacon and egg sarnie with BBQ sauce HAS to be on white thick bread.

I will have to take a bottle of BBQ sauce with me when I go back, I don't think they have it over there???

True no comparison. The USA is a far better place to live.

Healthcare is a big deal here, however, if you are a skilled professional you are likely to have good health coverage through your employer. I've found myself paying less out of pocket here than my friends back in Oz!

It's actually a very generous quota, 10500 E3's just for Aus vs. 65000 H1-B's for the rest of the World - and the quota has never come close to being exhausted.

It is a temporary visa but if you read the US forum there are people there, many of them not born in Aus by the way, who are on their 2nd E3 extension i.e. upto 6 years. There are also others who have transitioned E3 to green card, bit of a minefield mind you.

Try telling that to the 600,000 people murdered there in the last 30 years.
