Unfortunately you did want as many people as possible to see this thread and agree totally with what you have to say. I could be wrong but I am under the impression most answers were honest opinions and definately not saying they tolerated racism. To want EVERYONE to have the EXACT same point of view as you in my eyes is expecting far too much. Also as you mentioned you were in two minds in moving to Oz because of that article is your personal opinion, however it's a worldwide problem. I personally couldn't and wouldn't want to bad mouth a country I dont live in because I don't know the whole story or have any personal experience of living there. In my humble opinion many countries that interfere in other countries affairs because they dont like something causes more problems and damage in so many more ways.
All I can recommend is....be happy, chill out and good luck in your new life in Oz. Just remember the good news that you have your visa
