No that was her.

I'm a lucky guy.

I think all the technology can help them stay in touch, but undoubtedly leads to more aggravation at the very least, up to bullying, between them. Also envy as they see what people are doing so much more.

True. When I was a kid in the 80's and 90's once home from school, except for close friends, you really had no idea what other kids were doing, and didn't stay connected with them 24/7 like you can now, so I can certainly see it from that aspect.

I think it all gets very confusing with so much information to process. Even things like sexual orientation, as someone else mentioned.

I also think it's great that women have more opportunities and career choices now, but they also seem to be caught up with the appearance/pleasing men rigmarole more than ever.

I don't think the "rigamarole" has ever been different, just the means to achieve it. And it's vice versa for men.

Could be that it's more extreme in Calabasas.

I don't think that's a bad thing unless it has a negative effect of other aspects of their lives. No one would like to go back to the old days of grunge.

I suppose so, within reason.

With my own daughter, I just hope she can balance it all out.

Currently reading this on my phone, and I have to slide over to see who the poster is. Except for Oink's posts...

OK

For those deciding between the Samsung S5 and the iPhone 6.

I have the S5. I love it for a multitude of reasons. Bigger screen, swype keyboard, AMAZING camera, I can get adblock on it, haptic feedback, etc.

I don't like the finger scanner or pattern lock. Those can't be done whilst using the phone with only 1 hand. So currently my phone has no security.

I also miss my iPhone for a few reasons. Namely, the finger scanner (which was the best, the S5 one doesn't even begin to come close), FaceTime and iMessage. Yes there are alternatives available, but those 2 are done so well by Apple that other stuff can't beat it. I also miss the iPhone music management kit. It was so much better and the Bluetooth doesn't cut out much, or at all, on the iPhone whereas on my S5 I still have the occasional "skip". To be honest though, that's about it.

I'll probably end up buying the iPhone 6 unlocked and adding it to our plan as a "tablet" for an extra $10/month. I'll just use it for FaceTime and iMessage, and a bit of social media stuff that works better on iOS.

Gozit, Gozit, Gozit, nobody gives a shit.

We're on BE, not on the Which Smartphone Makes a Maltese Cross network.
