I almost hate to admit it, but when I travel I often do WH for breakfast. Great coffee and a decent breakfast...as you say- served by tatooed women with few teeth and cooked by some guy you know just got out of jail.

OMG I agree with you Partystar, I hate the place. The food is cold, they even put pork or something in the water to cook green beans yuck. The cutlery is usually filthy and the coffee is vile. There, I don't like anything about the place and yet everyone around here raves about it.

We ate at a Cracker Barrel after US friends recommended it. We ordered different things but when the meals arrived they all looked like anaemic slop and tasted like very salty Heinz baby food.

Sounds like the Cracker Barrels around the country vary a lot. The ones I've eaten in are nothing like what you describe.

When you come up with some ideas for a good looking, smooth talking Brit like yourself could you drop me a line please.
I could do with a change of scenery myself.
