Wegmans had the Licorice Allsorts for $3 and cans of Vimto/Irn-Bru and something else at a buck. Also a bunch of Brit jams and sources were reduced for Paddy's Day.

OMG I love Licorice Allsorts...only when they are soft fresh though.

They had a different brand for a couple bucks too, looked the same, but not a name I recognised, but the Bassetts were in the Brit/Irish section.

Most expensive place for Cadburys eggs though.

Yes, only when they are fresh - that's important isn't it? The two places I know locally to me in San Diego that sell Licorice Allsorts (Bevmo and The Sweet Factory) both sell them dry and nasty looking. A little while back I could get Bassetts Licorice Allsorts at every CVS - I was so pissed off when they dropped them.

Found some Heinz beans, tomato soup, Branston, Birds custard powder and some other goodies in Fresh n Easy, but sadly, no British sweets, only Hershey made Cadburys which we all know isn't really chocolate.

What? They have loads of British candy, I bought some Toffee Crisps the other day. I've seen Flakes, Aero bars, etc.

Actually on the subject of Nestlé Aero, are these available in the US or not? I am absolutely certain when I was in Seattle I saw an ad on the local TV (KIRO I think) that advertised them but whenever I see them in the US they are always imported from Britain or Canada. The ad I saw was of some kids at a skateboarding rink and they definitely showed US packaging in it (i.e. it was in English).

Maybe it was a local marketing trial but only in Seattle.

But are they American ones though or imported from Britain or Canada?

Ocean State had those McVites fruit shortbread biscuits for $1.60 each and Jacobs crackers as well as a knock off version for $1 a packet, again.

Starting to have some problems with Fresh and Easy.

Expiry dates. Latest incident was last week, colemans mustard, expires end of march 2013

Be careful out there

Not unusual to find out of date products on the shelves here. I have taken stuff to customer services only to find it back on the shelf a while later.
