I AM CLUELESS

See what happens when two or more of you get the troll virus and start belittling and demonizing another poster because of your assumptions. Life is full of strange situations and because you never it had it happen to you or someone you know doesn't mean it hasn't or won't occur to someone else.
In the spirit of the holiday season, play scrooge with those responses.

I wasn't questioning that fact, just the validity of his claim that he had no method to fly home based upon it.
He never actually posted a copy of his plane ticket that he claimed was of no use. And had no explanation as to how he managed to have a face to face meeting with a BA employee that would appear logistically impossible.
Upon being given a sure fire way to get home by fatbrit... not a peep.
Something just isn't adding up. If I was presented this story to explain an overstay at the US Embassy, I'd be reaching for the "DENIED" rubber stamp about half way through "so I extended my stay, then I fell on the day I was going to fly... so I clearly couldn't leave for several more days/weeks/months/years..."

What would be the motive in it all?
Perhaps he's just not travel savvy?

I agree none of it seems sensical. Including him being a troll. It's not a very good wind up if that is the purpose. If he's fishing for a way to stay, that hasn't come up (I did offer marriage to his room mate but OP is still married to a meanie in the UK who laughed at his dilemma and wouldn't send him a penny).

The early responders tried to help the OP. The story became progressively stranger (Sputum Sucker!) and harder to believe - the OP has no access to any money anywhere? So even when he gets home he'll be penniless?

Okay, now I'm just getting a little sad:

Apparently he will be deported? He logged in today... accessing mySpace more important than jumping on the next flight home?

Throw in Rod Serling, and you've got a treatment for The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, Part II.

Another fellow Rod Serling fan. I'm currently DVR'ing them from public TV. Though I'm pretty sick of 'Nightmare at 20,000 feet' as it's always played. Night Gallery had it's moments too

well it has been pointed out to me that the large lump on my shoulder really should be not be there, now i explained that i was growing a new body part but for some reason thay didnt think that happens, so i am stuck now, do i go to the hospital/Dr and maybe given bad news or do i leave it and hope for the best? but to the person who pointed it out to me thank you, even tho it has stressed me out and i feel bad as hell i think i needed to be told that 4 inch wide lumps are bad, and if it does turn out to be bad you get my books and my collection of scabs, so be happy bunnies.

Also, according to his profile he's already divorced...

It was the OP who brought the subject up first.

For years I've pondered buying TZ on dvd, but damn, 156 episodes... I know I'd never find the time.

My wife bought me the first boxed set of TZ a few years ago, I think there are 3. I don't think I've even opened it

I've just received a message from English Idiot...he's asked me to let you all know that he's been interviewed by Radio Leeds. They have confirmed his story and are hoping to arrange a flight home on Monday.

I thought he was cute even with the hat.
and taking the piss out of his hat in the hope he'd show us a picture without it
