English Idiot,
I'm not surprised BA won't help - he's no longer part of the A-Team, so I'd quit calling him.
I just cannot believe that anyone could end up in such a mess and not at least foresee the problems, or maybe act on them a lot quicker before such a mess occurred.

If some folks can help him, I hope he comes back. I'm surprised he stuck around as long as he did, considering...

i have two questions.
1. what was his original flight plan. date of departure and from where to where. It obviously wasnt from Mi because British Airways dont travel to this place anymore.
2. If he gets a ticket back to the UK how does he intend to get from the Airport to wherever he is going to?
If he didnt stay overnight at the hospital why the hell didnt u call the airline and date change ur ticket. When did u inform BA that u didnt or would not be travelling. ie date of accident or a week later or a day later. When actually were u supposed to be on that flight?
do u have $148.47? Thats a single fare to Heathrow? standby!!

I had a daft friend who was in the same prediciment (but fortunately she was in Tenerife), she lost her ticket and had no money, her parents had gone away on a cruise and so she found herself having no one to phone..all she did was call her bank and asked for an overdraft of xx amount of money..(she made sure she called her bank where her wage was deposited into every month)..
they approved her over the phone so she was able to buy a ticket and fly home that day..
she did say that even if they refused the overdraft, she was going to call her CC company and ask them to extend her limit for another 500 quid, so she would have found the money somewhere..maybe this could be a solution?
oops, just seen Fatbrits reply..looks like the lads going home..

See what happens when two or more of you get the troll virus and start belittling and demonizing another poster because of your assumptions. Life is full of strange situations and because you never it had it happen to you or someone you know doesn't mean it hasn't or won't occur to someone else.
In the spirit of the holiday season, play scrooge with those responses.

I understand there are a lot of people who ask if they can come to the US when they can't, but how many of these are actual trolls as opposed to people who are just naive about their ability to immigrate.
But yeah. It just leads to any new members being questionned beyond what is reasonable. Being asked to post his passport and tickets online to prove himself - how is that helping them?

it is or it isnt. I feel sorry for this guy. Whatever reason be it feeble and irresponsible he decided to stay for his FULL THREE MONTHS and it turned around and bit him in the ass. Shows us all that we can have the situation under control and the carpet can get pulled from under our feet.
Always good to have a back up... It is what it is. Does show u though that its not as easy as everyone thinks to get out of this country!

I would simply camp out at the airport until I was arrested for loitering. Or, he could take himself to the nearest ICE or CBP office and turn himself in.
