Re: The Duggars Are At It Again
It wouldn't be my choice to have that many kids, but then I don't think it is a 'free' choice for her either, their religion prohibits the use of contraception. Yes, you could say well they need to abstain, but their kids are all well taken care of, they don't take any State handouts and they love all their kids.
IMHO, lots of other parents with fewer kids that have much bigger problems than the Duggars that don't take care of their kids half as well.

If religion is their excuse, then why aren't more families from their church that have a lot of kids as well? Is she just particularly (unluckily) fertile, or are they just the only family that actually adheres to this strict guideline of no contraceptives? Methinks it more likely the latter. They've been terribly lucky so far. The more kids she has, I would think the chances of her dying in childbirth would also go up (esp since she's also a lot older than she was when they started).

I remember watching their program when it was just 14 kids and I think she was pregnant with number 15....geeze.

Re: The Duggars Are At It Again
I totally agree with you on the fact that they can take care of their kids..... But you just wait, in a years time (maybe more, who knows) we'll be debating this same topic when she's expecting number 20. I hope for her baby's sake and her own that everything works out ok. But eventually you have to throw a bit of common sense into the pot and not leave everything to chance.
I didn't know that it was her choice on contraception as opposed to her religion, so maybe if her health is in question, they would be sensible and start using it.
It seems strange to me, that anyone would want that many kids, but that's me, they are not doing any harm to anyone with their choice, so I'm not going to say they 'shouldn't' do it.
