CALLING HOME!

They will usually charge you the connection fees when you order the box and the line. You just don't get to pay the first month of service (but we all know the connection fee kind of makes up for that
)
The best thing right now is to refer friends. Good little deal going on there.

The connection was billed right after the dollar, $44.95. By coincidence I was in my bank on line while I was talking to Vonage and saw the two prices come up before I even finished chatting to them.

I know, I told the guy someone recommended me and came in here for her name (someone PM'd to say she liked hers when she read my post on here) but she was not on line for me to get her name!! Shame, I would have liked to get her whatever it was they were offering!

As I may never set it up I may never see it, lol I will call Time Warner today to ask if I have a router!! I don't know what the destructions are talking about

That surprises me. Your Vonage account is where you setup all the forwarding, back-up numbers etc. I was playing with my online account before my Vonage box arrived.

Oh joy!! I have no phones at all except my cell phone.I discovered early this morning that my phones don't work. I called vonage on my cell and had a woman who kept telling me ' mmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam, go to the website' I told her over and over their website is down for upgrading. I had to hang up in the end. Called back spoke to someone who after 5 minutes said yes indeedy, they switched me to vonage this morning or last night. Knowing vonage will not be installed till Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am fit to be tied:curse:
:curse:Oh please let this be worth it in the end. I now am not reachable (haven't given peeps my new cell phone number yet)

VONAGE ARE DIRTY LIARS.
$24.99 eh? Bollocks!
They advertise for $24.99 but forget to tell you about the £12.39 in taxs they add. You name it and they are taxing you for it. All they keep saying is: The Government taxs sir. Charging me for 911 too. I paid my US taxs. Fedral and state so why am I paying again?
Crazy. Guys please watch out with Vonage.
I got talking to Vonage on the phone. Sounded like I was talking to some one in India or China. They never can hear me on the phone. Maybe if they hired telesales a little bit closer geographically they could eh?
So the guy askes if I would like to actiate a second line on my account. I tell him no becuase one is perfect enough and it is just me using the phone. So he says ok no problem. Lo and behold the twit goes and activates it any way and I get a bill for $67.56. Do you think I can get through to them to diactivate that line now? Like trying to get blood from a stone.
They say that there is 24/7 support but the truth of it is this: When you can you can get a "Vonage Associate" 24/7 but do you think that you can get "Customer Support" 24/7? Hell no. After all it is only Customer support that can do anything for you. The Vonage Associate can only perform services which involves taking your money but never correcting anything. Funny how Vonage have a 24/7 money taking machine but do not want to keep the real important people around for us needing customers who have issues.
Watch out guys they are crafty. They make Skelator from He-Man look like your Granny.

Everything in this country has tax added, you should know that by now.
Still way cheaper than my crappy low quality BellSouth (or AT&BloodyT).
Never been over charged, support has always been on top of everything and never experienced any down time.

Mine should activate tomorrow when the chappie comes to install it. They quoted me $32 a month I believe, I pay about $53 now to Verizon with just a few calls to the Us, way higher if something in my family is going on. Verizon is good service but a year ago I noticed they had been charging me about $5 or $6 for wire maintenance for all there years! I had them stop that as I have been in this apartment about 30 years and these wires are the original ones, lol I wonder in all those years how much I paid for nothing
Also they bill me about $5 per month for operator assistance, I almost never call the operator.
The plan for the UK calls is $4 plus $4 in taxes so even if I don't call the UK it is $8!!!
I will post tomorrow after I call the UK, that is if the guy can install it.
