You're still overthinking this. Smartphones are a much more plausible thing to take to the bathroom.

Agreed, some smartphones are waterproof and can be easily rinsed.

Are you not scared shitless of all the stuff that goes with it? Any website offering any level of porn is likely to be littered with viruses. The two things I've stopped looking for are porn and software 'cracks' (serial numbers) due to the incredible risk associated with visiting such sites.

I would use a sandbox / Virtual Machine if I were to go down that path again ...

I don't take a laptop into the bathroom

Nobody downloads porn anymore though, it's all streamed, like youtube, but with vag and knockers instead. Never had any issues. Not that I'm looking at that kind of thing, of course.

Careful now, etc.

Well, streaming vs downloading is not really the issue; in both cases you have to visit a site, and then click on a link or button, and just that can cause problems. Glad to hear you've not had issues!

The bigger sites are now keen to keep a good reputation and are reportedly cleaner than your average legal-stuff website. The worst you'll get is a pop-up advert. It's not like back-in-the-day when they were crawling with all kinds of nasties, although those still exist.

Yeah, I mean, just like in real life, you need to be careful about where you stick your pointer ...
