As far as not talking, I'm fine with that as long as the music is still good, and it sounds like in this case it is.
I swing between Stanley Road and Wild Wood being my favorite. He's still doing a couple off them apparently.

I agree, however sometimes when they are soooo good, you're left thinking I could have just listened to the album.

But "From The Jam" are still knocking around. That used to be Foxton, Buckler and a couple of other guys who just played a set full of Jam songs. We saw them a few times in Chicago. I think Buckler left since then, though, so it's just Foxton and his mates. But even so, still a great night out.
Nah, I know it will never happen, I quite admire him in a way for not cashing in on it, most people would have done.

Blimey you lot attend a load of concerts. I can count on two hands (with about 4 fingers spare) the total number of concerts I've been to in my entire life, and I'm nearly 50.

The last band I saw was Level 42 when they did their American tour a couple of years ago.

Would love to go and see Nik Kershaw as part of the 80s revival tours that go on across the UK, but our annual visits back to blighty never coincide with the dates.

Is that because seeing Level 42 put you off concerts for life

The Bay Area is such a great place for concerts too, something for everyone. If you're into music from the 80s, check out the concerts at Mountain Winery, they have quite a few 80s bands on this summer. It's a great venue and the cheap open seating tickets are good value.

He was brilliant.
I have seen Oasis twice and they just seemed to be going through the motions/collecting a paycheck on both occasions. I recall foo fighters completely upstaging them on one occasion too.

This gig was the complete opposite though. Noel was full of energy, was joking around with the crowd etc, the atmosphere was also great.

You should really go see him if you are a fan and get the opportunity.
The only downside was beer was an eye watering $12 a cup

Cheeky

I just saw that Elton John is playing in Las Vegas in October, so I might see if I can book that one. Always wanted to see him in concert.

That will increase my gig count to 7!

Great to hear - going to see him in Boston on June the 6th.

Isn't he playing in SF in September?

Just saw Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds in San Diego. Fantastic gig, small scale. He did several Oasis standards too. (Slightly marred by the presence of several loud lager louts.)

Next up. Eddie Izzard, Ingrid Michaelson and Foo Fighters so far.

Sorry I missed it, but just not feasible for me on that date.

I passed on Eddie Izzard this time, saw him on his last US tour and he was good, but not great.

Foo Fighters for us too, gutted that Royal Blood won't be supporting them when we see them, are they back for the SD gig?

I didn't know Royal Blood were the support. We're seeing them in LA but I don't know...

Looks like you miss out too. I think they're going off to do some festival in the middle of the FF Tour, so play gigs at the beginning and again at the end.

Kaiser Chiefs are also supporting the Foo's on part of their non-US tour, I wouldn't have minded them either. They had Cage the Elephant and Mariachi El Bronx when we saw them last time, hoping someone good steps in for the CA leg of the tour.

Due to a balls up we've ended up with tickets for Eddie Izzard, Bakersfield and also Ingrid Michaelson, Greek Theater, Los Angeles on the same day...June 11th Thursday.

If anyone is interested, half price, PM me.
I can reschedule either gig for another day.

Def Leppard, Styx, and Tesla, seven days from tonight - good seats, well under the amphitheater roof, and only about 20 rows from the stage, which is plenty close enough as we are taking little Miss P to her first ever concert!

Three great bands, and I would pay money to see any one of them, and indeed I have previously bought tickets on multiple occasions to see each of them. It's going to be a great show!
