My sister bought a Subaru Legacy estate (wagon) which was made for the US Mail. It was right hand drive for mail delivery and when she went back to England she shipped it over. I've owned a bunch of different cars here but have been tempted back to the Mazda 3 5dr. I expect we all had fun passing our car tests again. Took all of 25mins.

A white Mini Cooper, but its gone now as we move back to the UK on tuesday :(

Wow so soon?

I hope your move back goes smoothly. Please post in the MBTTUK forum when you are settled to let us know how you are finding life in Blighty.

All the very best.:)

You also own a jag to keep the other one on the road!

I was really excited when I bought my Saturn (vauxhall!) Astra last year it was the only one in town, now it will continue to be as they have gone out of business.

I still like it, its just going to be hard to find someone to honour the warranty.

That will be your big problem. On the plus side, parts will probably be available for some time as they are (for now) GM.

Looks like a repeat of Daewoo. They went bust about 8yrs ago and left owners high and dry worldwide. GM bought them but wouldn't honor the warranty here in the USA.

Tim Tim don't take it personally we :wub:you....but me and JG don't like your taste in planes or cars lol.....a http://www.embraerexecutivejets.com/...om100_home.asp is as small as we go on the aircraft front, and http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/#/classLanding/?vc=E or its a no go matey ;)

Well I have had 5 Jaguars and I have not had any significant problems. The new VW Touarag I bought in 04 on the other hand was a total piece of junk. I love my Jag, it is built totally out of aluminum so it is strong and light. The AJ8 engine is just great lots of power but at the same gets over 30MPG on the freeway at 75MPH. The interior is understated but very functional and the handling is firm when it needs to be but compliant otherwise, thanks to the active suspension.
To me the S-class is a brute of a car and typically Teutonic in styling. I drove an S500 just for comparison and it wallowed like the barge it is. It also drinks dino juice like a fish due to its girth. I also drove an A8 and a Lexus LS just for comparison and they didn't float my boat, too much of high-tech form over function. . Each to his own.
Now the plane on the other hand.... I have visited the Embraer site where they make the Phenom (and the legacys and ERJ's) and they are amazing planes. However the whole VLJ thing is imploding and most commentators now say the idea is dead. They are such a compromise of payload, range, cost and performance that if you were in the market to drop a $3M+ (no, not me) then a much better proposition would be a used King Air or perhaps a Pilatus PC-12. For trips in the 500-1000 mile range, the Cessna-182 is a great way to travel. 160MPH in a straight line sure beats 60-70MPH on the road....

Her indoors is working on the turkey! I'm very busy on the computer though as you can see. Plus I'm exhausted from playing Beatles Rock Band with my niece until the early hours.

I guess if you want to drive a Ford, each to his own.;)

I drive a Kia Rondo.

Damn ugly but great little utilitarian cross over between a Mini van and a station wagon. Los of cargo room, seats 7 if you get he 7 seat version (wouldn't want to sit in back lol!), has a very peppy V-6, and most importanly, lots of leg and head room...great if you are tall. Great warranty too- 5 yr/60K everything, 10 year 100K powertrain. To date, 35k miles, zero issues. Love it.

BTW, cheap too!

I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe and hubs drives a Nissan Versa. We both like our cars, but I'm ready to trade mine in, want something with a few more bells and whistles, maybe a Honda Pilot. He's pretty happy with his car, he wanted a manual in a car and something with great gas mileage (he drives about 60 miles one way to work) so he got that.
