At long last the heat is upon us - and I am so grateful for the AC we put in last year!! I don't care if we only use it a few times a year, for those few times it is worth it!!

Apparently the cool down will begin tomorrow, but long range looks sunny!!

I know!

We had our house built 5 years ago and at that time we had everything put in for AC, with exception of the unit. That, of course, is the most expensive thing and my husband keeps telling me we can't afford it and its only warm a few days out of the year..... But when its really warm in our house and I don't feel like being in it, then the AC is def worth having! Thankfully we have room ACs.....

In my house the a/c is running on and off 24/7, especially this year. Currently 90 feels like 99F.

Stay cool lady, keep yourself well hydrated.

This evening the skies are clearing, hopefully a good sign. The mozzie srayer truck has just smoked out our drive way but it's losing the war. The mozzies are out in full force, battle commenced

That's just too damn hot! Reminds me of last year when it hit 105 here (which doesn't happen, usually). Trying to keep cool, with company in tow was murderous!

Hope you're staying cool, Cindy!

It's been 105F many times here this year. Today is cloudy and dull but the thermometers are showing it's just over 90F and it is very humid.

Even after 14 years I still can't get my head around the fact that when it's dull/cloudy/rainy in summer I don't need a sweater and coat.

Thank God for AC is all I can say. Can't imagine what it was like here when the settlers came over in their gazillion layers of clothing, wool and all!

We don't have central AC, although we do have room AC for nighttime. Quite frankly last year when it was that hot I would have murdered for central AC! My husband, who can't stand the heat either, can't see the point in paying out money for central AC..... I will get my way eventually....

At any rate, I have survived to tell the tale of surviving hot days in So Cal (years ago) without AC, I'm sure I'll continue with it here as well.

Just found out on the advanced forecast that it's going to be 85 degrees for the wedding next week... I'm going to melt and/or end up on you've been framed as one of those lame grooms that faints mid-ceremony! Ugh

Oh well, I guess at least you get 200 quid for those videos
