Planespotting II

Re: Planespotting II
Here's an interesting look, courtesy of the Blancolirio You Tube channel, into the circumstances of a couple of recent mid-air collisions, including some shocking details, that clearly Juan Brown himself finds upsetting. Unfortunately piliots of light aircraft are not immune from making reckless if not stupid decisions.

Boeing has notified 3 airlines to pull some 787 from service for a possible structural issue.
8 aircraft affected from the looks of it.

Below is a pic of a Lancaster Bomber...her name is Vera. She is one of only two still flying. She lives in an aircraft museum in Hamilton, near Toronto. She usually flies by our condo at weekends. She is special to me because my mother’s name was Vera. Inside the plane there is a plaque with the pilot’s name. It is the same name as my late father. On my mum’s birthday this year Vera flew by us...’there goes your mum’ hubby said.
Vera flew to the UK to take part in the Battle of Britain in 2014.

Certainly not something heard everyday. An American Airlines and Sky West pilot on approach into Los Angeles-LAX reported seeing a person with a jet pack.

I am clearly out of touch with modern technology.

Re: Planespotting II
Good on the airline for banning her. A lady flying Ukraine International Airlines, apparently got too hot while waiting to get off the aircraft, so decided to open the over-wing exit and chill on the wing for a bit.
Her only explanation to police was she was hot. The article has some video footage of it.

Re: Planespotting II
Possibly. I have had a fair amount of flights return to gate after pushing back because someone had a panic attack, but never had anyone go out onto the wing, but its plausible she did, would also possibly explain why she didn't have an explanation, having had panic attacks before, I can't rationalize them to someone else. Last year for some reason right before boarding Air Canada back to Vancouver from Palm Springs, some reason had an panic attack, next day flew Delta and was fine, can't explain it...lol

Maybe it was her last shot at freedom after coming home from holidays, lol. As long as they aren't opening doors on my flight and nobody got hurt I'm glad for the entertainment.
