Oh aye, there are still -200s in operation, one of which carries the Prez around quite a bit. Still 727s as well and there was one carrier in Iran who was operating a 707 as recent as 2010. Biman Bangladesh operated the DC10 up to a few years ago as well.

If it flies, fly it, I say.

Should of got the tail # ;)

Aye, we'd probably have been able to find photos of it on one of my favorite sites :)

I won't even consider United for flights.

To be fair, their flights back were fine - no, good actually - that's why we're taking another chance on them this year:fingerscrossed: Must admit, I don't fly United often, but when I do, I find better than Delta, although there's not a lot in it....

It certainly wasn't regular. And it was definitely old.

My travel itinerary says we are scheduled for 777-200's both ways, but your comment is going to give me nightmares for at least the next 42 days.....

My money's on the -200. You don't happen to remember if the top bubble looked shorter than usual, do you?

The oldest a 777-200 is going to be is 21. United has an average fleet age of 13.1 years. Fret ye not.

You could be sat next to someone with a baby who cries during the entire flight.

I'll be travelling with 3 kids. Given that the airlines rarely manage to seat us together, that gives me total flexibility over 4 seats and probably at least 2 rows........:sneaky:

That sucks. I'm so glad ours is older now we've begun taking trips again, and actually enjoys flying.

I dunno, not my first choice, but I did like our ride back from IAH to LAX. Shiny new 787. Shame we were in the centre section, a dark flight, and DD was hyperactive for 2h58 minutes of the 3h flight, then slept just as we could have done with her walking.

Annoyingly the Channel 9 that they (United pre-Continental) used to do is apparently almost non-existent now. Pilot says ni, channel 9 turns into some crappy Country music channel or something.

Is that the one where you get to listen to the radio comms between the pilots and ATC? We had it on 1 or 2 flights last year, I think that was on United, but may have been EVA
