Oh, most likely more.
I think I'll stick to pretending to fly 747s on the computer for now. Way cheaper and safer. |

That assumes you don't believe the satellite "ping data" doppler analysis. It might be a bit high tech but I think it counts as "evidence", granted not greatevidence, but the only evidence we have after MH370 passed over the Straits of Malacca.
I need to find that article... |

I have to say, weird as it sounds given the circumstances, that that was probably one of the best flights I had been on. The new IFE on the 777s (think it's the same on the 747) was brilliant. Seemingly limitless choices of shows/films to watch and a USB charging port at every seat? Yes please.

No, this was using the same satellite data. As I said earlier, the handshakes were so far apart (just 6 handshakes IIRC), and the satellite triangulation inexact that the possible plot points were one of two (or maybe even more) paths. The reason they suspected the southerly path I forget now.

Your clue is in my last post. It isn't just triangulation, the doppler effect changes the frequency of the "ping", such that (if the analysis is correct) it has to be the "southern arc".

Your clue is in this very post - it was an arc that stretched in both directions. Correction to my earlier - not SW Russia but China/E Russia. This was the article but note that my only comment is about the possible directions the aircraft took, per my earlier, and not the rest of the theories spun in this article.

Not sure on coverage but I thought Delta's more premier route aircraft with IFE had USB at every seat. Some even have 120v outlets in the front section of regular economy, though this might be more limited.

The doppler shift on the two arcs is different. The MH370 data matches a path along the southern arc.
