Sure don't make it easy, nor should they.

Glad you have no rose tinted specs on  It isn't easy and right now there are few jobs in the industry but that'll eventually change. It is a cyclic industry. It's all in the timing. That said, if you think it's hard here, try Old Blighty. Almost impossible unless you have wads of cash x3 and a dad/uncle working at BA or the CAA lol.

I wish I had the money to amass even the lessons and the 40 hours for my PPL, never mind anything else

Oh well, FS9 it is ...

Anyone going to RIAT in Fairford UK in July. Looking for a way to get from Swindon to the show on the non general public days Thurs Fri. No car available
Weekend is fine as shuttle bus from Swindon
Regular bus seems iffy. Taxi to expensive
Anyone done this before?

"Global flight paths" though it appears to be great circle shortest routes rather than the ATC radar tracings I thought it might be.

United B787 booked for our flight from IAH to LAX next month. Do I need a battery charger? :hehe:

Ugh. As much as I respect the engineering achievement of Airbus with the 380, I still think it looks like a horrible overweight goat.

Now the A350 on the otherhand, looks pretty sleek.

Jealous. I almost deliberately added stops to my immigration trip to fly on the UA 787.

Fire Extinguisher wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm sure we've all seen the accident at SFO.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23214513

Strikes very similar chords to the BA 777 crash at Heathrow, however BA chose the RR engines for their 777s are Asiana use the P&W engines so unlikley to be a result of uncommanded engine rollback.

There;s no doubt in my mind that the tail was taken off by an abnormally short landing. However it appears that everyone is ok, and thats the important thing.
