Hauling firewood. Especially when it needs a bit of rotating.
Donations towards our heating oil fund appreciated.
And how come wives who are all for gender equality, never seem to touch a piece of wood? Mother Godess not up to getting her hands dirty on one of her fallen creations I suppose.

Which was put to use last weekend...The wee-un got into a brand new bag of Bics a while back. Including the one I brought into work with me (which subsequently got nicked, returned without the lid, then nicked again
), I'm buggered if I know where a single one of them is ...
I know our son nicks pens a lot then takes them apart. Are your children, perhaps, to blame?
I bet if we did find the place the pens went, I'd not have so many unpaired socks in my drawer anymore

I have a pen fetish and can only stand one kind of pen. Even if I have 10 other kinds of pens at my fingertips I refuse to write until I have the right kind of pen. This is at home and at work. I've been addicted to these pens for 15 years and everywhere I work I force all of my office mates to use the same kind of pens so that no matter what desk is nearest I can have easy access to a decent pen.
Respect my pen authoritah!

I see I need to buy my wife a chain saw.
Next peeve:
Radio 5; I understand that they have contractual obligations, but when the gane is on, and not broadcast online; why not repeat a recent show from the last week or so, why instead of the game does it have to be the same unfunny crap from forever ago.

Some twisties aren't bad, it's the thin weedy ones I object to, where the paper strip comes off after a couple goes, then you're left with a thin bit of wire that's crap.

No problem in my house, we have thousands of good-quality pre-used replacement twisties on hand. We inherited them when my MIL died.

I liked to split wood with a 12 pound sledge and a wedge. Took three times as long as it would have taken my father, but I insisted,

Having to decide if it is just a peeve, or if it has pissed me off.

You'll be suggesting we throw out egg cartons and old jam jars next.
