British Expats - Pet Peeves?

No. When an animal is killed for food, you peel it, then you cut it in half. The big steaming pile o crap that drops out?... Yeah you toss that away. Or use it to strain root beer. :p

It's not all bad. Steak and kidney pie is good. Liver and onions is good.

Same with pÃ¢tÃ©, or liverwurst. Mmmmmmm.

The steak and onions would be better without the other bits. :)

Well Master Butcher Nutek, I've got news for you, the kidneys don't fall out, they are well encased in connective tissue and firmly secured to the dorsal wall of the body cavity, close to the spine. :nod:

The liver is fairly well connected by it's plumbing too, though the lobes flop around a bit. Granted, the intestines that drop out aren't up to much. I tried chitterlings once, and they were quite disappointing, :( and tripe is repulsive, :sick: but suet has some exciting possibilities! :nod:

Root beer is awesome.

What isn't awesome is the cheap bottled crap in the fizzy drinks aisles or out of fast food dispensers.

Bit like ginger beer or burdock...or any other root brewed weirdness.
