Anyway, todays peeve.

People who tow stuff and seem to drive without realising it. Usually a truck that pulls out in front of you to make a turn, which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem, but because they're now towing a caravan or a massive trailer of stuff means they take ages and you have to slam on the brakes because they're now blocking the road.

And on the same vein.....people who pull out of a T-junction to turn left, but instead of pulling fully into the central reservation to wait for the gap in traffic from the right, leave their arses hanging back in the lane of traffic coming from the left.

And people who speed up to stop you passing them ahead of a curve or exit ramp, but slow down because they're driving a sofa, or are used to driving a sofa. I had one of those last night ahead of me when I was driving my truck - I would have taken the curve (interstate to interstate ramp) about 20mph faster but for the Lexus ahead of me, which had steadily accelerated to stop me passing ahead of the ramp. :(

A few days ago I was waiting at lights behind a Tesla (which according to everything I've read is a fairly well "sorted" sports car), to cross the bridge and join the interstate. The lights turned green, and the Tesla took off like a scalded cat, ..... but by the time I reached the tight curve of the ramp I had caught up with it, doing 25mph on a curve I would usually have been doing 35-40mph, in my d@mn F250 truck! :frown:

People who leave stupid amounts of space between them and the car ahead in the queue at the drive-thru.

People who honk their horn at me for not turning right on a red - at a set of lights clearly labelled "no right turn on red". Who then pull out, overtake me and turn right *from the left lane*, while making clear what they think of me. Never a policeman around when you want them.

.

I t was once explained to me that it was a safety thing....leaving enough space to pull out in case someone tries to carjack them.... not something you hear about every night on the news, but I guess it does happen. It must be sad going thru life with such fear at every turn.......I think they must need a bigger gun!

No disrespect intended to Fatbrit at all, but I'm wondering how may of you are going to adopt the bouncing sheep avatars, permanently.

Start with finding out how many of them are Welsh, then work back from there ...

How does one establish that, conduct a survey?
