Most people here seem to miss it entirely, so flushing is less important.

Perhaps many guys have become too accustomed to the proliferation of self-flusing urinals (and toilets). Talk to your employer's building services department about moving into the 21st century.

The concepts of blokes pissing into a communal trough isn't exactly a 21st century one in itself though, is it?

When that is what people typically have in their house then maybe there is some small excuse that they could have forgotten because of lack of familiarity. But we're not there. I stand by my previous abuse aimed at them.

I miss the piss against the wall, trough/ drain set in the floor, style that are more common in the UK. I can only think of one place, in an old office building in Philadelphia, where I have seen that style here.

I don't think urinals are common in the bathrooms of homes in the USA. It is urinals that you were complaining about, isn't it?

Pretty much the same as pissing into a hole in the ground, except that there's a recepticle, a drainhole and a drainpipe... that goes into a hole in the ground.
Agreed, not 21st Century at all. You'd really have thought someone would have invented a piss detection sensor to control a central urine atomiser, so you could pee anywhere in the house and it would just disappear.
