I was the same with the dreaded colonoscopy. Worst bit was the sore gut with the bloating afterwards. Luckily, nothing nasty found.

Yeah, with a family history of diverticulitis, I expect I can look forward to completing the unholy trinity of "oscopies" as I get older - the preparation for a colonoscopy doesn't sound great though.

Could have been worse still, you could be male. Thankfully I haven't had to endure such a procedure, I think perhaps it would be connected to prostate issues, and I hear that of the "oscopies" that is the most painful and unpleasant.

Re: Pet Peeves?
Makes my eyes water just thinking about it! I can't think anyone sane would want to do that without heavy duty anaesthesia.

Just got back from my 2nd 'oscopy' in 2 days, this time it was a colcoscopy, uncomfortable, but no biggy really....no sedation/pain management offered for that one! |

Jay and I had our first colonoscopy's last year, definitely the prep' and after effects were worse than the procedure.

Re: Pet Peeves?
Could someone please create a Wiki for oscopies? I'm trying to keep track of what I'm going to need and what sort of drugs that will enable me to get.

Always a plus. I wouldn't like to be the recipient of one of those. Nor, indeed, the performer of one.

I've heard it involves a LOT of water. Sounds like hell. Think I would rather be water boarded.

Re: Pet Peeves?
My fridge beeps if a door is left open. If it's so damn clever why can't it close the door itself, why does it wait until we've sat down to beep. Poxy technology!
