That's excellent.

No, no, no, the game is to suggest a solution, not to knock the only solution so far offered by any of the so-called "experts" on this thread that actually (sort of) ticks the required boxes....goodness gracious me.....am I really going to have to dig out my "rules of brainstorming" slide from my long gone corporate days....

How about my latest "if I win the lottery" dream vehicle?

Granted you'd probably need a forklift to help load the elderly and infirm. You might also need to stretch your budget a little.

If those are "Elderly Person Storage Pods" along the side below the doors, we may just have a winner

As a bloke, if you don't have your kids with you, it looks like you're driving a rape van.

They're horrible to park.

They don't have much oomph or fun.

Not great on petrol and terrible on speed bumps.

They're all driven by complete morons who drive extra badly, well on par with Prius drivers....around here at least.

They are practical though, but that's besides the point.

Just out of interest, I'm guessing the Passat wagon is a little too small?

For comedy value, Ford Flex. Capacity is what you want, but for some reason it seems to be made out of garage doors.

The missus has a friend who drives one of those, last years model I think, but anyway, rides very nicely, quick and fairly comfortable.

Also, if you don't like your friends, you can fit a pair of them in the back quite easily and there's enough room for them not to get to snuggly, but they might get motion sickness if you hit any bumps. I'm short, so it wasn't a problem.

He's had the dealer sort out the brakes a couple of times though, but don't know if that's the car or his terrible driving that causes it.

Its a shame Volvo no longer do the V70 T5/R. We had one in the early 2000's when the kids were small enough to fit in the rear facing third row. Wife refused to go the minivan route and we ended up with a 5 speed V70 T5.

However Volvo's are now all sh!t

The Ford Flex looks like someone watched the Top Gear episode where they made Geoff and thought "I could make an SUV out of that". Then they made it worse.
