Florida shooting

Re: Florida shooting
I was thinking about how cheap and easy video surveillance and other surveillance equipment is these days. Was there video cameras at the school? If there had been, maybe they would have known that the shooter was approaching, they would have certainly known the guy was in the school. Why is there such opposition to video cameras?

Re: Florida shooting
Probably not in a school, as youth love them their hoodies, and corridors are packed at change over time. It would only work at a school with head covering rules and with one building (no school that I can think of) with only one entrance to that school, with some kind of calming door system to spread people out. So it would also have to be a small school, which might make cost all the more of an issue.

Re: Florida shooting
If you really wanted to save money, you could have 3 or 4 people covering the whole school district probably from a central monitoring facility. Then if there is an incident, they could probably locate the shooter within minutes, if not seconds.
If I was able to tell when my chicken sitter did not put my chickens away before 8pm from 1500 miles away, I'm sure similar technology is available to everyone. I got notified within a 2 seconds when she crossed the threshold set on the first camera.
They are used in many shopping areas in the UK, much busier than a school field and can locate people very quickly.

It's so strange to see these children (albeit being manipulated by the Left) protesting to have civil rights taken away by the government.
Looking at all the protests in the past (and strikes which are the real instrument of change) which were for expanding rights - not curtailing them.
The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are bad.
What a bizarro world.
