Now I like most people have not been following this in any detail but they mentioned that it was not even certain all the Dem Senators would vote to impeach.

538 reckons four in states won by Trump will not. That's out of 47. Presumably no Republican senator will vote guilty.

Well if Dems vote innocent then that rather does away with the backbone issue.

91% versus 0% seems a slight difference to me. But it certainly does illustrate the hold that Trump has over 40% or more of the country.

Great to see that a lifelong socialist is now the favourite to be the Democratic nominee!

A few days ago it was Biden- maybe Hillary Clinton's attack had the opposite effect to what she intended.

I don't see anything to suggest Sanders is the favourite. In Iowa and New Hampshire maybe?

"Their appearances took place amid signs of growing strength in Mr. Sanders’s candidacy, particularly a New York Times/Siena College poll of likely caucusgoers released Saturday that showed him leading the field in Iowa."

I looked at the betting odds: Sanders 9/5, Biden 21/10. A few days ago when I looked Biden was the favourite.

Betting odds reflect bets placed as much as anything.Given Sanders has jumped ahead in Iowa and New Hampshire I suspect that's pulled in a lot of punters laying money on him being the nominee.

Not a chance. Iowa and NH don't count for much when the rest of the States get to choose later.

He lost because of Brexit. And the incumbent here is far more right-wing, corrupt, and unfit for office.

I know that Tom Steyer is spending a lot - I see his ads every day on TV - but did not know the extent until today when I read that Steyer has spent more on advertising in Nevada than all of the ad spending of Biden, Warren, and Klobuchar combined in their entire national campaigns. Democratic candidates have spent a total of $11.6 million in Nevada, of which $10.4 million was spent by Steyer.
Steyer's positions seem fine to me (not that I have a vote).

Do those figures include Bloomberg or do they date form before his ad-blitz started?

Bloomberg is skipping the first four states, so spending money there would be a waste.
