Some forums ban the kind of "link dumping" that that poster engages in; unfortunately BE does not.

Like Fox..."fair and balanced" ;)

Guess they'd say...that's what the 'ignore list' is for as it provides for one's own, a la carte, personalised censor.

Don't know why you bother asking him that. He's not answered that question any other time he's been asked.

And so, I googled 'leppo':

Urban Dictionary: leppo

sorry Gary...I tried (to save you with an article eg: a 'a', but came up 'uh, uh')

I thought it would be a derogatory term for someone with leprosy.

You just did * inserts Monty Python sketch about coming here for an argument*

Shrug, there's only so many times you can say "Trump is unfit to be president he has no experience and he is a fraud".

All the rest is just evidence, usually from his own mouth.

But the BE moderator can request the person to refrain in doing so. ;)

I agree but, in my case, this election is giving me the blues and that's not normal for me.

Anyhoodles, I'll weigh in on the Gary Johnson kerfuffle. This thread, myself included, hasn't really spent any time discussing Johnson or Stein.

I've had a difficult time taking Gary Johnson seriously --- this is based on his own demeanor and lack of knowledge. I've watched as many of the Johnson/Weld appearances as possible. It's clear to me that Bill Weld is the biggest brain in that particular room. Johnson isn't up to speed because he's not a serious person and he's too clever by half. I'm not claiming originality on that concept though .... it's been "observed" in the blogosphere excessively. Weld constantly has to intervene in interviews because Johnson doesn't even understand the question.

Zargof summed it up completely though, Trump hasn't known ANYTHING for over a year. The cruel truth is that Trump is such a better liar than Johnson. Trump would have said something like, "It's very serious, I've got people looking into it but it's none of your business and I'm not going to tell you my secret plan." Apparently there is a significant segment of the American electorate that enjoys being lied to right in their face. I see no other explanation.

I'm not sure it's that they enjoy being lied to. Firstly they are seemingly unaware it is all lies. Secondly I think they see it as some sort of cool new hot take by an outsider.

With regard to a significant segment of the electorate enjoying being lied to - I see it somewhat differently...

Do they know they're being lied to?
Do they care?
Are they even listening...Or thinking, for that matter?

The answers, I believe, are NO, NO, NO, and NO

What has captured and enthralled them (them, being Trump's core supporters) is that they're being addressed and wooed in the first place.
They're being paid attention to, made to feel they matter.

When Trump bragged "I could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave. and it wouldn't make any difference" (a paraphrase of his assertion), it was actually an astute metaphor for his lock on this heretofore neglected, white, non-college educated, chiefly male constituency and their surrender to his domination.

He who resides in a marble and gold triplex, atop his very own glass tower, comes to court them and reward their fervent allegiance. He descends from the sky in his own Boeing 7whatever (look, see his name emblazoned on it's cabin!) in order to rally them to his promised nirvanah ahead. An America Great Again awaits their arrival.

Nope - I don't believe they're listening, but for anyone who might occasionally take in a word or three - "WALL, WALL, WALL" will suffice. "Crooked Hillary" stokes the re-energising rage.

This is deeply depressing.
The 15 year anniversary of 9/11 comes up in two days.
I'm scared to death about what might occur two months later - on 11/8 ......

Epilogue.......

Re: 2016 Election

Barbara Streisand updated some lyrics at a Fundraiser...

IS HE THAT RICH?
MAYBE HE’S POOR?
’TIL HE REVEALS HIS RETURNS
WHO CAN BE SURE?
WHO NEEDS THIS CLOWN?

SOMETHING’S AMISS
I DON'T APPROVE
IF HE WERE RUNNING THE FREE WORLD,
WHERE WOULD WE MOVE?
NAME ME A TOWN?
JUST WHO IS THIS CLOWN?

AND WHEN WE THOUGHT WE’D HEARD IT ALL
HUFFING AND PUFFING ABOUT HIS BIG FANTASY WALL
MAKING HIS ENTRANCE ON STAGE...
HE JUST SHOOTS FROM THE HIP
HE’S FULL OF BULL
HE’S LOST HIS GRIP!

AND IF BY CHANCE
HE GETS TO HEAV’N
EVEN UP THERE HE’LL DECLARE...
CHAPTER ELEV’N!
WHO’D HIRE THIS CLOWN?
THIS SAD VULGAR CLOWN...
“YOU'RE FIRED” YOU CLOWN!

HILLARY’S KIND...
SMART THAT IS CLEAR
WHILE SHE IS GIVING US HOPE...TRUMP IS SELLING US FEAR
LOOK HOW HE CHANGES HIS VIEWS EVERY TIME THAT HE SPEAKS
IT’S LIE AFTER LIE
CAN'T TAKE EIGHT MORE WEEKS!

THIS IS NO FARCE
MAYBE HE’S BROKE?
IS THIS “THE ART OF HIS DEAL”
OR SOME AWFUL JOKE?
YOU’VE GOT TO ADMIT...
THIS SILLY HALF-WIT...
IS SO FULL OF ...

And then you thought it couldn't get any more ridiculous...

Instead of Releasing Medical Records, Donald Trump Will Discuss His 'Health Regimen' with Dr. Oz

Fake doctor* interviews fake billionaire.

* Yes I know technically he did graduate from medical school

Trump volunteers allegedly also have to sign a lifelong contract never to criticize him. Sure there's a joke about thin skin/tiny hands in there somewhere.

Time was when the not so well off white American who had never attended college still had some common sense nevertheless. Seems now that dumbing down has taken place in a big way

Anyone who believes anything this fool says along with "it's a secret and I wont tell you " bullshit has to be either dumb or highly gullible.

It's time he made his tax returns public for the past few years. Pence has already done so. What's Trump's excuse

He's been upped by Kim Jong Un (who, by the way, awarded a rare Dear Leader Seal of Approval when he "endorsed" Trump back in June, as reported then by the NYTimes)....

The Dear Leader just issued a decree which bans sarcasm in North Korea!
.
Good idea:
1. Gives "Forbidden Kingdom" a sub-text
2. Prudent to have at-the-ready if there's a Trump tête-a-tête

Meanwhile, what's happening that's truly alarming is North Korea's nuclear activity in recent days.....
