Re: 2016 Election
George HW Bush threw up all over Japan and then fainted. George W Bush gave himself a concussion by eating popcorn. Gerald Ford fell down every time he turned around. Richard Nixon was a walking ball of sweat. John McCain suffered multiple bouts of cancer. Need I go on?

I've worked, sick as a dog, many times, because I couldn't afford to miss work --- both as a financial matter (I actually needed the money to live, does that make me greedy?) and a matter of professional appearances.
I think this is a direct result of her being bullied by Trump about her health. Had he not started this disgusting attack, she probably would have felt more comfortable cancelling some events and getting the rest she needed. I've said before I didn't agree with the speculation about her health. Campaigning almost every day for over a year at their age...I take my hat off to both of them. |

I know she doesn't keep the money. She hardly needs the money for food does she? It's the sheer greed and cost of US political campaigns that annoys me.

I think I'm annoyed at this whole thing because of the double standard. A few weeks ago, Donald Trump cancelled a bunch of events and pretty much disappeared for a week. At the time I thought he was probably getting run-down and needed a break. And, I didn't think that was a bad thing. The older I get, the harder I work. But now I use the weekends to rest and recharge rather than to party and run around having fun.

I don't disagree with any of this. However, Donald Trump never looks healthy to me. He looks bloated and puffy. He's sweaty and red-faced. He smears orange stuff all over himself and does a comb-over to hide his age ... yet he still looks like crap. We've got two 70ish candidates ... of the two of them, he looks much worse most of the time.
I don't think either of the Clintons look well...I remember you and I have discussed Bill's health before. ;). |

She's currently suffering from pneumonia and probably has been for at least a week ... that's not the same thing as being chronically ill. |
Re: 2016 Election
Hillary's health problems if there's any substance to the rumours that seem to be circulating are small change compared to Trump's character flaws, the most serious ones being his limited attention span, his complete naivety in the matter of world affairs and in all probability his inability to work with advisors who might differ in the matter of opinions to those of his own

Bill looks like shit but he's not running for president or vice president. Melania Trump is probably bulimic but I don't care about her either.

Sorry to bore but presidential history is one of my things. :o Trump started this ridiculous "conspiracy" about Clinton's health with his habitual projecting. Whatever Trump is guilty of, he accuses Clinton of. He said that she just does one event and then goes home and goes to sleep. The truth is that she does numerous events every single day. She tends to keep 12+ hour work days with several speeches, local appearances, rope lines, fund raisers (which Trump rarely does even though it is actually his JOB and expected of the nominee for the down-ballot races as well as the top of the ticket) meanwhile Trump does one rally and then gets back on his plane and eats KFC and tweets.

Glad to know you disagree with what you now say was CNN's interpretation. Or maybe... you don't  |

Glad to know you disagree with what you now say was CNN's interpretation. Or maybe... you don't  I like to keep an open mind...unlike many in this and other BE political threads. I'm wondering after this morning's episode...why they didn't take her to the hospital. They knew she had pneumonia...it can get extremely serious very quickly. I am also confused why it took so long...last Friday...for a diagnosis. Even little old me had a quick diagnosis and it seems we both had bacterial pneumonia...thus the antibiotics. Hopefully she will recover quicker than I so she can make the debates. |
