If they start seeing members of Congress dropping in the polls..they will be under a lot of pressure to do something about Trump

Our time to shine?

Was Mrs. Trump working illegally in the USA?

Gaps in Melania Trump's immigration story raise questions - POLITICO

What do we think of this story? I am unsure of the rules back in the 90s but it does look odd. Mrs. Trump worked in 1995 New York, but says in her book/interviews that she had to travel back to Slovenia to get a stamp in her passport. Does that mean she was on a B1 or B2 visa?

What does our lawyer think? Paging Mr. Folinsky.

Someone needs to do an foia request with USCIS and or the State Dept.

Though all that said my understanding is that it all occurred pre Trump.

Can you do a FOIA on someone's personal visa history?

I think it will be even more hypocritical if his own wife was working illegally.

She should have read:

[BTW, I have a case involving a B-2 entry in 19-eighty-7 -- the government claims fraud as such: "You falsely stated you were coming to see your boyfriend. The true fact was that you had a home and job of three years in the United States you were returning to." There is no stated evidence whatsoever to establish that my client did not have a boyfriend. My client was returning to her job in the US, her home in the US, and her boyfriend in the US. Would you believe that the Government has now argued before the court of appeals that the truthfulness of the alleged false statement is immaterial due to the concealment? BTW, we need not discuss our argument that April 15, 1987 and not the same date as June 21, 1987 and that Miami is not Los Angeles. ]

This shouldn't surprise anyone. I suspect there's plenty of dodginess littered through Trump's history (some of already exposed, but seemingly ignored).

But this one in particular, could lead to absolute proof of at least one petty violation, something which Trump would never tolerate from any of his rivals, and would sensationalise and milk to the absolute maximum for every gram of political gain.

Of course, if anyone does that to him, it's because it's all "rigged" against him.

Who cares what Melania did?

She was a model who probably worked all over the globe.

Seriously, there's far more to worry about with Trump than his wife's visa status 20 years ago.

Not for those among us who are anxious to keep the War Party in power, Limey. There are a few more countries in the world yet to be invaded, after all, and Clinton is the one who can be relied on to do it.

The main platform of Trump's campaign is illegal immigration. It looks a little hypocritical when his own wife committed fraud.

Given the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan etc were started by Bush, a Republican, I'm not sure what qualifies a) the Democrats as the 'war party' (Somalia and Yugoslavia notwithstanding) and b) Clinton as having any responsibility for a war started in 2003 when she was a Senator.

But yeah, it's a much better thing to have Donald 'If we have nuclear weapons, why can't we use them?' Trump as the man with his finger on the button.

My forehead hurts.

I've no doubt. Of course Trump's solution is to drop a nuke and solve the problem for good. If Trump is elected it will be a great time for cockroaches and Keith Richards.

But before they were an item. Worse for me is his use of cheap immigrant workers.

Oh wait... we're on an expats forum... lol
