Same here. Though I wasn't a citizen in 2008, otherwise I would have then, too.

I didn't know I could even vote in primaries until this year.

Here's something fun. 20 minutes of Trump supporter getting destroyed while attempting to justify Donald Trump's attacks on the judge in the Trump U case.

This also includes S E Cupp, which is always a bonus.

I hope more is made of this story because it's this sort of thing that should sink Trump's campaign rather than some bullshit comments about a judge being Mexican.

AP: Fla. AG sought Trump money before spurning Trump University case - CBS News

Of course nothing will happen, because it's all legal.

I much preferred seeing Norman Tebbit destroy an opponent in a live TV debate on the BBC in years gone by. CNN, along with Fox News are not much fun these days really.

Trump lives in a 30,000 sq ft penthouse laminated in gold. Some of the furnishings are even finer than those found in the palace of Versailles. He lives the lifestyle of Louis XVI and has the mentality of Marie Antoinette. In his campaign HQ are life size card board cut outs, one of himself flanked by John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. Neither Wayne or Reagan would have spouted the hatred and racism that Trump continually farts.

If he wasn't real then only someone like Stephen King could have invented him as a character in one of his darker novels

This is interesting...

"Several sources close to Senator Elizabeth Warren have informed Reuters that she plans on endorsing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. She is allegedly not interested in being Clinton's running mate at the moment but has not ruled out the possibility completely. Advisers to Warren have reportedly also been in touch with Clinton's campaign and have been talking more in recent weeks. "

Obama is so very close to having carte blanche to go after Trump. That is one happy POTUS.

Oh he's fully aware of that, it's called "deflection", blame someone else for your failures, in this particular case the PGA and Mexico.

Anyway I always find the focus on the US presidential election a bit odd because the reality is that unless they win in an absolute landslide, nothing much is going to change.

Odds are that the Senate will be run by the Democrats and the House will be run by the Republicans after the election, so in other words it matters not a jot who is President, at least as far as domestic policy goes. The winner will be (as per usual) total gridlock. The only reason Bush did so well was because everyone was in a blind panic after 9/11. And his domestic policy agenda was so crap, large chunks of it have been undone even by this Congress, e.g. the education reform.

Bernie has overtaken Clinton in Montana. I was actually shocked she had been leading. Montana would seem tailor made for Bernie. I am surprised he lost S. Dakota.

Hopefully the healing can begin now.
True story, I was staying in a hotel in Montana once and apparently the Democratic Party of Montana was holding a meeting there. I didn't actually notice until I read about it in the newspaper they left outside the room. Mild surprise, hmm, isn't that where I am right now?

The only reason the Democrats ever win in Montana is because it only has one congressional district, so you can't gerrymander it, and the Libertarians do quite well there and split the vote so the Democrats can win.

Which brings me to my next point, vote for Gary Johnson. Or at least say you're going to vote for him so he's included in the debates.

Failing that,

Make America Great Britain Again

No, John Wayne was far more direct about it: https://pages.shanti.virginia.edu/Wi...ayboy_Int2.pdf

For example, page 7. "I believe in white supremacy".

Or page 3.

PLAYBOY: What kind of films do you consider perverted?
WAYNE: Oh, Easy Rider, Midnight Cowboy—that kind of thing. Wouldn't you say that the wonderful love of those two men in Midnight Cowboy, a story about two fags, qualifies?
As for Reagan, he basically said whatever Nancy told him to say.
