And McCain's past support for immigration reform plays into that narrative.
The Tea Party is a wacky bunch -- they comprise perhaps 1/5th of the population, yet they believe themselves to be a majority. They're so skewed and out of touch that they don't understand that political parties need to build coalitions in order to win elections, which means that some bargaining and acceptance of differences is necessary. But these guys think that anyone who would compromise their extreme positions is a sell out who needs to be shouted down. |

So far, out of the whole list, Trump is the least scary/useless.

Of all the Republicans, this is the one guy who I feel has some decent ideas - shrink the military and completely re-do the tax code:

Well he claims to have Dem and GOP backers, so it must be a conspiracy between both sides, the illuminati and the new world order.
Watch the Left's money flood into The Donald's campaign chest for a 3rd Party run if Jeb or Marco gets the nod. Didn't we see that in Kansas with the so-called Independent's (an alleged TEA party guy) run last election? |
