Still 21 States have no kaws against it. Given they tend to be party faithful one wonders.
How does this work out. Give me a scenario where a "faithless elector" affects the outcome of the GOP nomination?

Regarding VP pick - Dems will have the advantage of knowing what the Republican ticket will be before they must choose their own VP nominee.

If polls still show them holding a wide lead at the time of their Convention (despite fact that it might narrow in the following months), swing state capture will be far less important.

A VP choice who'd help to countervail Clinton's "unfavourables" will be a higher priority.

It would affect the electoral vote count, not the nomination.

In practice, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which faithless electors would change the outcome of the election. But it would create a lot of drama.

Trump's schtick is so stale and tired. How is it that people still go out to his rallies? I know people like free shit but ...

The vast majority of Americans aren't politically engaged. Those that are tend to be fiercely dogmatic.

Looking on the bright side - seems the Trump juggernaut's been a boon in Academia.

According to Politico, what they've labeled "Trump Studies" - undertaken by scores of researchers, in dozens of academic disciplines both here and abroad - are the new campus rage.

Isn't it ironic, when Trump's own ballyhooed, Wharton School years were so memorably unmemorable?

News today...Cruz, on the miniscule chance he wins the nomination...is vetting Carly Fiorina for VP. There's a losing recipe if ever there was one.

My god, that woman is insane. Her senate run here in CA was hilariously bad.

Does Cruz not understand that he needs somebody likeable to counter his slimy lizard persona?

That would require him being sane...which might be a stretch.

He was taking his show on the road in CT last weekend and every clip that was shown from the rallies involved him either slagging someone off or making fun of them; not one word of policy. I'm starting to think that people think of it as a free show by an insult comedian. Which is fine as long as they enjoy the histrionics and then go and vote Democrat....

Hi. Where you going?

I'll need a lobotomy if Trump wins and then they'll just shave my head.
