...during the course of which was amused to watch (CNN) her 20% lead drop by 5%. Right now it's winnowed further: With 87% of vote counted it's Clinton 57.3% to Sanders 42.7%
Yeah even tho she clearly won NY, Hillary's speech was a manifestation of presumption gumption

It's a huge step towards Clinton winning the nomination, whichever way you want to cut it. And Clinton is significantly ahead in the polls for the three remaining large states, namely Maryland, New Jersey and California.

As of tonight, Clinton has received 57% of the total number of votes that have been cast for either Clinton or Sanders. Which is to say that she is leading by 14 points.
How can anyone possibly argue with a straight face that this is a tight race when she's essentially winning by a landslide?

"Following Bernies Sanders New York upset, campaign manager Jeff Weaver appeared on MSNBC to say even if Hillary Clinton wins the all the delegates required to secure the nomination and leads the popular vote, the Vermont senator's campaign would fight to flip superdelegates all the way to the convention. "It's going to be an election determined by the superdelegates," he said, contradicting the campaign's previous power-by-the people rhetoric. "
Apparently Sanders no longer believes in the will of the voters.

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton register net negative ratings in double digits, indicating the front-runners for each party's presidential nominations are viewed negatively at historic levels, according to a new CBS/New York Times poll.
That makes Trump and Clinton viewed more unfavorably than any front-runner for either party since 1984, when CBS began polling voters on the question.

Because the Democratic Party is anything but. Clinton had the super delegates in her back pocket from day 1, take them out of the equation and the race, even after New York, is far closer than people like you clearly want to accept
Sanders is the candidate of choice for several demographics, seemingly the only people who vote for Clinton are African Americans and Democrat loyalists. Young people don't like her, people in general think she's dodgy and her New York victory speech emphasizes just how arrogant and unlikable she really is. As a Republican, I would genuinely prefer to see Sanders win the Dem nomination even knowing how well he polls against both Trump and Cruz

Having said that, I realise I could be registered independent or democrat and still vote on the WFP line. As to why there's no WFP primary, I don't know. Probably the WFP would have to be bigger and wealthier to have one.
