As long as I can remember...it's always been that way on BE. Republican supporters are vastly out numbered by Democrats and are eventually driven away.
Did you hear it? I did and it did not sound like that to me.

Yeh, having watched that video clip, I have a hard time believing Jerseygirl's explanation. The way he spoke, the body language etc.

Where's Palin these days? Did Trump tell her to enjoy the weekend with her family too?

Trumps rallies are getting out of hand with the physical assaults, this time on a reporter for Time. The violent nature of too many who attend his rallies is a fair indication of the nature of many of his supporters. I guess you need to do what protesters did at Obama rallies and show up with your assault rifle.

America is not going in the wrong direction. It's changing along with the rest of the world

People Like Trump are dreaming of the past when a bad word from America made nations tremble and it certainly doesn't need to go on being a military colossus that wants to kick everyone's ass who doesn't fall in line. The massive amounts in military spending could be well used to improve the nation domestically
Hillary voted to go into Iraq btw.

Perhaps he figured out she is the kiss of death and dumped her. Either way it looks as if he's put the curse of death on his own campaign now.

I think that seeing the debacle which followed she wont be that hasty to deploy the military to everywhere in the future.

Bill Clinton was one of the better Presidents IMO. She will have his advice and experience to hand, no charge

Wasn't it a Republican President, Dwight Eisenhower who just before leaving office warned about the military/industrial complex?

Any candidate can request Secret service protection (almost wrote SS protection, ho ho). In this situation probably Trump's campaign probably tell them where they want them, though it is probably a bit murky.

Interesting reading.

tl;dr
- they report to the agency chain of command and not any politician
- it is probably being misreported that USSS agents did the violence

The actual article referred to an unidentified security man. So who knows. Trump does have his own security people as well.
