He seems to have actually invented a "more black" past by making up stuff to sound like he was a hoodlum. Making it sound like he overcame such a past and went on to become a renowned surgeon makes him more majestic than just a nerdy bookworm (which is a type that conservatives fear) who kept his head down.

This.

I can promise you that trying to hit your mother in the head with a hammer does not translate into "thug life". He was a spoiled little neurotic mama's boy who was having a hard time dealing with the divorce of his parents. He came from a stable home where he was sheltered and nurtured and loved. There may have been times when they struggled financially but there is also plenty of evidence of them living in middle class neighborhoods, where he thrived, thanks to the diligent parenting of his mother. His father was a Baptist preacher, with a wandering dick, who let the family down. Carson wasn't a gang-banger, he was a normal American kid who acted like a little shit a couple of times, ffs. Oh, and the best evidence that he wasn't all that "black" to begin with? In a traditional African-American home, if he'd went after his mother with a hammer, he would have ended up in the hospital, or the graveyard.

And so we’re going to have to do certain things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago.”

Yahoo News asked Trump whether this level of tracking might require registering Muslims in a database or giving them a form of special identification that noted their religion. He wouldn’t rule it out.

“We’re going to have to — we’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely,” Trump said when presented with the idea. “We’re going to have to look at the mosques. We’re going to have to look very, very carefully.”

Anyway, if he wants to start looking very closely perhaps he could start with the First Amendment. The help him find it, it's right before the Second Amendment.
Charming. Ben Carson seems to think that they're no different than dogs. Let's just chip them. Problem solved.

Smacks of the Jews in WWII.

IMO his comments were on a par with Trump comparing him to peados.

The Republican party has no chance at the White House with these two at the helm.

How much of this nonsense is being broadcast abroad?

I try to keep an open mind...Dems vs GOPs...but what's the alternative...Hillary?

If the terrorists up their game we could be looking at President Trump.

What really grinds my gears is the GOP candidates in this field constantly trotting out their whimsical rags-to-riches tales of family escaping persecution to move to the US... yet in the face of a real humanitarian crisis they can't pull up the drawbridge quick enough.

How many say Jews came to the US as refugees and committed terrorist acts? Or their children in support of their religion?

What would have been weird would be if German Jews came to the US as refugees and actually helped defeat Hitler or something.

People like I dunno Einstein.

I guess you are alluding to the Tsarnaev brothers. However, their parents were not refugees:

The Boston Bombers Were Not Refugees -- Neither Was the Paris Attacker | David Bier

As for Jews before WWII they were turned away out of fears they were communist infiltrators or Nazi spies. A different fear, for sure, but the parallels are unsettling.
