Well it makes sense really. I mean the Canadian immigration requirements are less stringent than they are here. Basically you get a better class of British Expat in the US.

The UK basically just exports their criminals to Canada, right?

Right, it's been like that since Australia started getting fussy about it.

If only. However, while intelligence is not necessarily guaranteed silence will at least stop the stupid among us from revealing themselves.

This needs to happen now, and become some kind of law punishable by having rotten vegetables and manky old fish thrown at offenders. Unintentional pun.

Just a little revisitation of "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread" would probably do the trick.

This is the front running theory so far. The GOP presidential primary is a political version of "The Producers".

Do Any of the Republicans Running for President Actually Want to Win?

Good to see that we're finished bashing our Canada-based compatriots. Actually their
"Federal Elections" thread is a model of issue-based discussions and restraint in attacking those candidates and posters with differing viewpoints.

Erm ... I was bashing them because they're still over there calling me a bitch even though I don't even know who they are. Your "sympathy" seems to only go in one direction though.

EDIT TO ADD: And they've dedicated a whole thread to bashing us.

Oh come now, even you must agree that they were getting rather up their own arses there going off at the US forums (of which you are a part), from the comfort of their own back yard, without even having any involvement in the initial exchange.

I am not Canadian, just an American from California who happened to marry a Canadian and now resides in Canada.

I still vote in federal US elections.

I doubt anyone in that thread are actually Canadian, just like most of us in here (bar Leslie, you and a few others) are not natural-born American.

Anyway, you were only OP in that thread and even though I think you did completely overreact to the situation, it was the replies of others, who weren't in this thread, didn't have any frame of reference and who had no intention of engaging with anybody in the Trailer Park in a constructive way that induced so much cringe I almost folded up into my own arsehole.

Somebody should contact the Supervising Mountie. You can have your nationality rescinded over there for that kind of unpleasantness.
