We only got the water back on at 12 noon today, had to use water from the pool for the loo and bottled water for washing. I was first in the shower when it came back on though  All due to the electric output, the internet went down during the evening and came back on later this morning - but couldn't get into expats ALL DAY  And it's been raining again all day today :frown: Oh to be back in sunny England  |
Re: Weather
Chucking it down as we drove to Gib this morning, couldn't see the rock as we approached it, by 11am it was like a summers day there. We sat in the main square and had fish and chips for lunch Mal thought he would throw caution to the wind before he starts his new life changing diet.:( SD you were right no alcohol I have said I will give up as well:eek:

contraband, reported in English since 1529, from Medieval French contrebande "a smuggling," derived via Italian contrabando from Latin contra "against" + Middle Latin bannum (from Frankish root ban "a command", as in Italian bando 'law'; also the root of 'banishment'), denotes any item which, relating to its nature, is illegal to be possessed, sold et cetera. However the term is also commonly and in legal language used for goods that by their nature, e.g. too dangerous or offensive in the eyes of the legislator (those are termed contraband in se) are forbidden, and for so-called derivative contrabande, i.e. goods that may normally be owned but are liable to be seized because they were used in committing an unlawful act and hence begot illegally, such as: * smuggler goods * stolen goods - knowingly participating in their trade is an offense in itself, called fencing * the fruits of fraud, forgery, choc choc, etc. The word is also used as an adjective, again meaning 'distributed or sold illicitly'. Just thought I would let you know in case you didn't know what it meant  |
