Jackdaw nests are the worst.

Awful job, but good money.

Mmmmmmmm hot smoked squirrel, very thinly sliced and served with brown bread and butter. Even challenges smoked reindeer

Re: Weather

I defy you to make anything tasty out of the squirrels I took out. They had been there for about 20 years and were well mummified. I doubt that you could have made soup even.

Squirrel is quite a tasty meat.

Re: Weather

Ah well, mummified squirrel not usually fresh enough to smoke ..... true. More like beef jerky.

On a different note I was going to applaud the early night cool breeze tonight as it felt good outside, but opening the windows sent the humidity meter shooting up. Most unusual at this time of year.

Wouldn`t have thought that there would be much meat on a squirrel at best of times. My youngest loves animals... dead ones... we have quite a collection of claws and feet and feathers and tails... Came across a roadkill squirrel.. we now have the feet and tail. It was fresh. blood still pumping. Bloody skinny though.

Sorry Capitan... on edit here... yes, here still warm too but rained for 10 mins today. Have to have fans on in bedrooms at night but still no need for a pool or aircon just yet... maybe in 50 years with climate change... and then you will be moving back to UK for better climate !!!... I JUST KNOW you will still be alive then for some reason.. gypsy rose lee that`s me

I think we will just see more of the same, with the winters becoming less cold and the summers less warm.

Here too. The round yellow thing appeared a bit this afternoon, so we are all sticky, muggy and sweaty.
