Love it! Someone can see!

.................................................. .................................................. ..

Dear DG of the BBC...

Initially I would first of all like to thank you and your hard working, exorbitantly highly paid, dedicated and professional staff for the absolute shower of shite you managed to programme for the viewing public over the recent festive period! I say the viewing public..... but really mean your actual employers, seeing as each and every one of us are empowered by your nepotistic (Made up word) despots who make the crass laws of this country, to pay you and your vast, rumbling, archaic, cash machine, vast amounts of our hard earned cash, so you and your cronies can live the high life in these turbulent economic times! Whilst, I would like to add, imposing your institutionally radical views and opinions on moral and political ideals on a public whose personal views and opinions you never take into account.

You and your chums must have beavered away to incredible lengths using all of your combined media and entertainment degrees and applying these highly honed skills to have achieved such a crap, drab, innocuous, mind-numbingly, pitifully boring, lay down your life I’ve had enough, schedule.

Further more I would particularly like to applaud your innovative idea of programming the same show/film/documentary on all 4 BBC channels on consecutive days…… Just in case you missed the decade old thing the first time round……Wild!

I both look forward to your further input of derisory suggestions on how to inform, delight and entertain the majority of the populace with such limited funds.

I am humbled to pass on our sincere thanks and delight to Mr Martin Scott for his devoted duty to his position of head of light entertainment and thank him for the feast of shows that showed how people were treated to a vast array of spectacular comedy and drama shows over 30 yrs ago, I don’t know how they did it??? A third of the staff and so litte money?
With an appeasement to your superior knowledge of business planning and advanced foresight to spend hundreds of millions of pounds of public money on transferring the whole shebang oop North to satisfy the meandering postures of a few left wing, loony liberal Lords, we just wonder why you neglected to ensure your loyal employees would all willingly abandon their lives and family structures without incentives of barrow loads full of more of our taxes.

And what a clever idea to scythe a swathe of cuts throughout all future programme budgets to ensure that the funds to enable you and your hard pressed staff to continue travelling the world first class to inanely report on any minor, insignificant non- event across the other side of the globe, are still in place and to continue the long-lived custom of you all filling your festive stockings with enormous, engorged cash bonuses for all your tremendous work.

We look forward to your next crass Christmas…. (Not)

Regards……….A reborn music lover.

Actually it's "Fit In or **** Off". Probably not a concept you would be happy with?

I don't receive any UK benefits so count me out, but why shouldn't there be some sensibility to this, in some parts of the country this may be a bit high and some parts (such as London) as a bit low, but you have to draw a line before you need to adjust it.

there are many hard working couples who are doing a full weeks work and only get £36k before tax,
the national average pay in the UK is approx £26k and many couples manage on that single salary and bring up kids who don't run riot and terrorise the district.

Satire is generally clever and witty - this is neither.

Going back to my point I made about China (I think it was in this thread, cant be arsed to look) its now looking more and more likely that the property bubble that has driven Chinas wealth (in part I know) is about to burst, reports of only one in five of the new houses built over the last 4 years have actually been sold and a growing unrest among the huge middle class about the one party system. I've said it before, I'll say it again.... somethings gotta give.

I was wondering about Russia with the so called Presidential election coming up shortly and Putins mafia having lost its popularity.
However being the low down conniving scumbag he is, he's put the block on his main competition from taking part with trumped up accusations, so by hook or by crook it looks like more of the same.

some would say not as bad as Spain

ISTR Russia has a 2 terms rule as in the USA, but Putin has put that to one side, having taken a sabbatical as Prime Minister, announcing at the time he wasnt considering another term as President, in such a way to indicate that he would be standing and expecting to win at this forthcoming election.

funny how so short time ago, only 100 years, the ordinary man rose up and rebelled against the rule of the Romanov's to give them a say in the way their lives should improve and have a say in the destiny of the country.
Back to square one........

Things are shite in Libya, they have exchanged one set of nutters for another.

A warship is leaving for the Falklands loaded with missiles...according to the Telegraph
