You're off work this week then Matty?

Good it'll do you good, don't waste it on here all day though:thumbup:

Just been watching the news and there was a report of Romanian pickpockets heading for London for the olympics. The reporter was talking to three Romanian lads who were bragging about how easy it is to pick someones pocket/bag. The interview took place in Barcelona where the three lads are plying their trade and doing very well they say. They actually showed how it is done, one of them distracting the unsuspecting tourist while another comes over and puts his arm around him in an over friendly manner, the third picks his pocket/bag and off they go to blend in with the crowd.

I can't wait for them to come up against one of our guys just back from Afghanistan.... that would be great to watch.

Yes, it's on the beeb website
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18798792

This kind of thing always happens at major events like this. I actually have full confidence that the police will be aware of what's going to happen, and will head off most of the scum. Ideally they'll be locked up for a long time, to send a message to others, but no doubt they'll just be deported so they can come back again later under a different id..

End of the day, Britain has a lot of experience in running big sporting and music events. I wish we hadn't won the right to host this, but given that we have, I'm still positive we'll show a good image to the world.

Oh yes, that would be good  I do feel sorry for any unsuspecting tourist who loses phone /wallet /purse and has their visit totally ruined as a result :( It's just so evil :frown:

Be deported  you are having a laugh ... they will receive a slap on the wrist, be found a house to live in and given a personal helper to assist them in what benefits to apply for

Here's the knocking article by Der Spiegel http://www.spiegel.de/international/...-a-844599.html Disappointed by that - Der Spiegel used to have a good reputation. Obviously taken on a journalist similar to some here, who can only see bad in another country.
